影片的故事发生在民国晚期的小镇回龙岗，这里与世隔绝貌似世外桃源，实则暗藏诡异让人不寒而栗，特别是镇上四大豪门的族长相继惨死，随着人们调查的深入，所有的证据都指向了小镇边缘一座恐怖的古堡，而这座古堡的守灵人还将带来更多血腥、离奇、令人窒息的怪事……。When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。
