White Lies is described as an “urgent exploration of race and privilege, inequality and identity.” Set in the wealthy neighbourhood of Bishopscourt, Cape Town, the series is described as following investigative journalist Edie Hansen (Dormer) as she gets caught up in the ugly underbelly that lies beneath the picturesque beauty of the city, dragging her back to a turbulent past....。在疆域辽阔的姜王朝，剑道文化传承万年，民众皆以修习剑道为荣。然而，能成功修炼至巅峰境界“剑神境”之人，却寥寥无几。十几年前，风头正盛的无极剑神被长生剑神设计重创，从此隐居山林，不问世事。如今，无极剑神唯一的弟子展一白终于成年，到了师徒俩约定的外出历练时机。 临行前，为了提高展一白的自保能力，无极剑神将贴身佩剑相赠，并嘱咐他尽快成长至剑神境。初入世俗的展一白，先后结识了王朝公主姜明月和镇南王次子李狂等人，为了尽快成长，他和伙伴们一起参加了“古王朝遗迹”试炼，开始了一段奇异之旅。。
